Connecting Through Art

One reason I love art is that it brings people together, and it often reveals peoples' values.  Through art we can learn about each other, and connect on a deeper level. I can remember many events where I had brainless conversation, either at a bar, or a party.  I come home feeling a little empty. I compare that to going to an art gallery or sharing my art here at my studio where I learn about others and what is important to them.  I prefer the connection that art can create.

New Work

We all pay bills, go to the grocery store, mow the yard, pick up dry cleaning, etc.  So do drag queens.  We often stereotype them as people who just dress up and attempt to look fabulous....as if they don't share our same responsibilities in life.  So here is a drag queen living life.

Hanging Art

Art should be hung just below eye-level.  A good barometer is to measure approx. 60 to 65 inches from the middle of the artwork to the floor.
